Introduction:-The frenum is a mucous membrane fold that attaches the lip , cheek and tongue to alveolar mucosa, gingiva, underlying periosteum .Aesthetic problems are caused by high maxillary which may compromise orthodontic treatment results in midline diastema cases, thus causing recurrence after treatment. Ankyloglossia, also called as tongue-tie, an embryological anatomical malformation of tongue, characterized abnormally short thick lingual frenum. Tongue-tie restricts physiologic movements various functional, behavioural speech abnormalities. Material method :- The present article consists series clinical cases aberrant were approached surgical frenectomy techniques. Result:- Different techniques have their own advantages disadvantages. Laser gives less post operative pain discomfort. Lingual help improvement movement speech. Conclusion:- An can be removed any modification been proposed,and functional aesthetic outcome achieved proper selection technique based on type frenal attachment.
